Rogers Marvel’s entry for the invited competition for the Museum of Art and Technology focused on making an intense overlap between the three museum missions (art education, art exhibition, art production), and having them infuse and assimilate each other; the building thus reaches saturation. New media art loosens direct conditions of authorship and has unlimited conditions of dissemination: new media is unpredictable. Overwriting the traditional methods of exhibition by including and celebrating the means of production, the museum becomes a new media site.
